Managing Director, Collaboration and Change
Charles Darley joined WRAP in 2020 as Managing Director of Collaboration and Change. He has been elected as a Fellow of the Strategic Planning Society, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and Fellow of the IDM. Charles has responsibility for Citizen Behaviour Change and Business Collaboration.
Charles started his career in UK and International marketing roles in Unilever and Diageo. He then took roles as Marketing and Customer Strategy Director delivering major change programs for Royal Mail UK, NTL UK & Ireland (now Virgin Media) and Fitness First UK & Europe which took them from being loss making to delivering profitable growth. He then founded and 6 years later sold a turnaround consultancy that transformed into a UK top 100, Award winning Direct, Digital and Data agency, having won clients like Nissan, Aviva and Vodafone.
For the last 9 years he has worked as a professional interim in a range of executive leadership roles in national not-for-profit organizations and commercial businesses most of which were loss making and required significant change, commercialization and digital transformation. He has worked across a range of nationally respected education, refugee, mental health, physical disability and religious charities. These include The Open University, The National Centre for Social Research, The Institute for Mechanical Engineers, Jubilee Sailing Trust, Age (UK), Freedom from Torture, the Federation of Small Businesses and Church of England. He has a wealth of experience leading change and transformation programs that reinvigorated their strategy and re-introduced revenue growth and increased the social impact of each of these organizations.
