Head of Communications
Luisa leads WRAP’s UK and international communications. She has extensive experience in communications, commercial and leadership roles for some of the UK’s biggest names, including BBC Worldwide, Office for National Statistics, Manchester Airport, Trinity Mirror and the Learning and Skills Council. Immediately before joining WRAP in 2011 she developed communications for the Welsh Government’s Towards Zero Waste strategy, credited with boosting Wales’ recycling rate to third highest in the world.
Luisa is a full member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) and holds a Masters in Professional Writing from Falmouth University and the CIPR Diploma. She also read American Studies at the Universities of East Anglia and Oregon, and Italian at the Università per Stranieri di Perugia. In 2018 she was selected as one of 25 women to take part in a programme to encourage more women into leadership positions in public or political life; she is now a volunteer mentor and trainer for the programme, specialising in building confidence and public speaking.
