This document summarises steps for any business to become a good water steward and reduce exposure to water risks. It includes a list of actions and links to further sources of guidance and support tools. It also shows a map of the Courtauld 2025 collective action project locations.

This review highlights the core achievements and impact of the Courtauld Commitment 2025 2017-18. It demonstrates that work is taking place across the food and drink chain, from ‘farm to fork’, in support of the agreement’s targets.

The distribution centre at Didcot is Asda’s first purpose-built depot and was constructed using eco-friendly timber and reclaimed brick from a former brown-field site.  Built in 2009, the 42,000m² ambient goods depot serves 33 stores across the south of England. Asda has a target to reduce its carbon footprint and the company is also championing reductions in water consumption at the depot.

This case study describes how the Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA) set an agenda for water efficiency and embedded this in design briefs, the procurement process and contracts for buildings on the London 2012 Olympic Park.
