Mariana is a Certified Nutritionist Graduated from the University of Guadalajara. She is certified by the Official College of Physicians of Barcelona in Nutrition and Clinical Dietetics and by La Salle University in Special Nutritional Support and Artificial Feeding. She is also a Diabetes Educator from the Anáhuac University. 

Her professional focus and passion is Community Nutrition, food security and sovereignty. She has been a teacher at the University of the Valley of Mexico in the Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition and at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of the State of Morelos.

Since 2006, Mariana has collaborated with Food Banks of the BAMX Network leading the areas of Nutrition, Social Work, Corporate Relations, Strategic Alliances and, now serving as CEO of the Network of Food Banks of Mexico and Red BAMX, she is also a co-founding member of the Global Foodbanking Network.

WRAP is delighted that Mariana will join their delegation to COP28 in December 2023, along with Dr Indah Budiani from the Indonesia Business Council for Sustainable Development (IBCSD).
