As a charity we are thankful to work with a rich array of funders with whom we share a common interest in protecting our natural world while providing benefits to society.
Our work is critical to improving communities around the world by preventing food waste, reducing plastic pollution, mitigating the environmental cost of clothing and ensuring waste is valued and remains in the economy.
Trusts and foundations
We are very grateful to the trusts and foundations that support our work.
In the UK, trusts such as the Tomoro Foundation fund our work to inform people on ways to keep plastic waste out of the environment and to reduce the environmental impact of clothing.

Halving food waste by leveraging economic systems
We have received funding from P4G Partnering for Green Growth and Global Goals 2030 to combat food waste in Indonesia, Mexico and South Africa through our FLAWLESS project.
Helping communities to make clothing last longer
A grant from the Garfield Weston Foundation will help “Super Crafter” volunteers work with communities in Leeds to teach them tips on how they can save money and the environment by repairing clothing and upcycling second-hand items.
Tackling plastic waste in Africa
In 2020 we received funding from the MAVA Foundation to tackle plastic waste across Africa.
Delivering a sustainable model for fashion
Globally, the Laudes Foundation are funding The Circular Clothing Action Plan (CCAP), a ground-breaking initiative that aims to align existing global ambitions to deliver a sustainable model for fashion.
We are fortunate to receive support from many corporate funders, for example though sponsorship and partnerships.
We were extremely grateful to receive donations for Recycle Week 2020 from many leading businesses, including Sainsbury’s, Ocado, Co-op, Britvic, Highland Spring, Unilever UK and Ireland, Suntory Beverage and Food GB&I and Danone. This generous support helped make Recycle Week 2020 the best yet. By participating, our donors connected with 69% of the UK population who recognise the Recycle Now brand and 64% of consumers who are belief-driven.
WRAP’s work with consumers and major companies often receives high media coverage and presents great opportunities for companies to deliver their CSR goals, take part in widely-recognised brand campaigns and help society and the environment.
Seeking new opportunities
WRAP is continually seeking opportunities to work with trusts and foundations, both in the UK and globally, across all our areas of focus. A current priority is to secure funding for our behaviour change work in the UK, which supports people to adopt sustainable habits for life.
We are seeking trusts and foundations to join with us and support our work engaging more communities so that we can help them recycle, reduce waste, stay in love with their clothes for longer, save money and help the environment.
