We are, in partnership with the Commonwealth Clean Ocean Alliance, Commonwealth Marine Litter Programme and Defra supporting the regional Australia, New Zealand and Pacific Plastics Pact (ANZPac), developed by APCO (Australian Packaging Covenant Organisation) and the Ellen MacArthur Foundation.
Fiji, Vanuata and Samoa (ANZPac)
Small island nations are particularly susceptible to plastic produced elsewhere and delivered to the islands where it enters the environment as waste.
Regional collaboration is key to addressing this. India Plastics Pact
The India Plastics Pact has been developed by WWF India and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) it is supported by WRAP as strategic partners with funding by UK research and Innovation (UKRI) and Stewart Investors.
WRAP has been funded by Defra to support the government and businesses of Malaysia to develop a collaborative agreement to tackle plastic waste. Based on The UK Plastic Pact model, the Malaysia Sustainable Plastic Alliance (MaSPA) will bring together stakeholders from across sectors to create a circular economy for plastics in Malaysia.
