Let’s talk about Food Waste Collections

We will hear from David Emmett of Portsmouth City Council sharing their experiences implementing collections at the kerbside and more recently to all their communal dwellings and James Hendry of Basildon Council, who introduced separate food waste collections in October 2022 and opted to use electric vehicles.

We will also cover the resources WRAP has available to help LAs assess their options when introducing food waste collections, plan for service changes, how to implement and supporting communications guidance and assets.
