Key appointments as WRAP ramps up global growth

International climate action NGO WRAP continues key changes across its senior leadership team with the appointment of two new trustees to its board. They replace Robert Longley-Cook, Jim Oatridge and Sachin Kapila, whose terms of office have ended.  

The new trustees are communications experts, Shruti Dudhia and Chris Jones, underlining WRAP’s commitment to scale up the impact of its communications.

 

Shruti Dudhia, WRAP trustee

Shruti Dudhia is currently Director of Strategic Communications at the C40 Cities Leadership Group. Her fifteen-year experience in communications and external relations spans roles in the public, private and non-profit sectors, working alongside senior leaders on the international stage. Her work in government included serving as the Prime Minister’s Chief Press Officer for foreign affairs at 10 Downing Street, as Head of Communications at the British Embassy in Washington DC and at the Department of Energy and Climate Change. She also worked with a range of private sector clients at Hanover Communications.

Chris Jones, WRAP Trustee

Chris Jones is Vice Chair of Teneo Strategy & Communications and co-founder of one of the UK’s leading communications consultancies Blue Rubicon. He has worked with senior leaders of large and complex corporations on their communications strategy and through transformations. He held the key position with Channel 4 News as the programme’s Senior Home News Editor and field producer.

Chris Jones, “I am enormously excited to be joining WRAP as a trustee. Its work has never been as relevant or as important as it is today. It’s a privilege to be asked to play a role in increasing its influence and impact.”  

The appointments come at a key time for WRAP as the organisation prepares to grow its international delivery.
