With government plans to introduce mandatory kerbside collections for films and flexibles by 2027 there is a growing need for a consistent terminology to effectively communicate to citizens. Between March 2020 and October 2022 WRAP undertook three rounds of citizen testing to measure the clarity and effectiveness of a wide range in terminology, with a clear preference presenting itself, as well as key principles for communicating positive recycling behaviour.

Shaping a sustainable recovery.

The Courtauld Commitment Annual Report sets out the progress that has been made by the food and drink sector this year towards achieving the voluntary agreement’s targets and the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals. In yet another turbulent year for food and drink, the sector has continued  to deliver meaningful action on climate change, driving collaboration across the entire food system to measure and reduce food waste, greenhouse gas emissions and water stress.

This initiative was led by Resource London - the partnership between WRAP and London Waste & Recycling Board - together with Groundwork London. The organisations won a bid to the LIFE programme of the European Commission to deliver the €3.2million initiative in London, which acted as a test bed for other European cities.

This report outlines the main activities and achievements to deliver the Safety, Health and Environment objectives for WRAP. It covers the period April 2018 to March 2019.
